Meet Our Executive Board 

Kathi Bischoff

PRESIDENT

Gold Star Mother KATHI Bischoff and her husband, Donnie, have been a part of the Jupiter Community for over three decades. She worked as a Registered Nurse in the Neonatal ICU for eight years before transitioning to a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in 1993 until 2011. Kathi is responsible for helping to care for and save the lives of countless newborns over the course of her career.  She retired in 2019 after working as a Medical Coding Educator. 

Kathi has 2 children, Sam Griffith and Renee Nickell.  Major Samuel Griffith, call sign “SWACQ” was a U.S. Marine tragically killed in action on December 14, 2011, while deployed in Afghanistan. After this devastating loss, Kathi and her husband’s desire was to turn their mourning into service.  Since 2014, they have held an annual memorial golf tournament, honoring Sam during his birthday month, June. 100% of proceeds benefit Warriors Renewal Coalition (formerly known as Renewal Coalition). Her passion is to find purpose in her pain and to make this event larger and more successful each year so that more post 911 combat veteran’s lives are changed through the tournament donations.

Cristy Hobbs

DIRECTOR 

Cristy Hobbs has over 30 years of Sales and Management experience. After retiring in 2005, she utilized these skills, spending 12 years volunteering and facilitating successful fundraising events in multiple Northern Palm Beach County schools. For the past 8 years, she has assisted in the success of the Annual Major Samuel Griffith Memorial Golf Tournament. Cristy is a graduate of Florida State University, and she holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing.

RET. SERGEANT Chris Short

DIRECTOR

Chris Short, Sergeant, US Army, was a sophomore at the University of Arkansas during the September 11 terrorist attacks. Witnessing the horrific events unfold on American soil, Chris was motivated to enlist in the military. He joined the Army as an Infantryman with the 2nd Battalion, 5th Infantry, 25th Infantry Division, deploying to Afghanistan in 2004. On March 29, 2005, during his first deployment, while returning to his base the vehicle carrying him rolled over two Egyptian anti-tank mines in Oruzgan, Afghanistan and he received multiple severe injuries from the blast. Now medically retired, Chris has established a meaningful life and has overcome many challenges. He now spends much of his time giving back through volunteering with a variety of local organizations within his community.

 

 

RET. MASTER SERGEANT ROCK RIVERA

DIRECTOR

Rock Rivera, Master Sergeant, Retired from active-duty military service after 28 years with the US Army. Rock served in Central and South America, Europe, and multiple deployments to the Middle East in support of combat and humanitarian missions. Rock has developed a keen understanding of what it takes to be a key leader in an organization. Rock Rivera is a spokesperson for Warriors Renewal Coalition, Inc for the Moral and Welfare of Soldiers, providing motivational transitional advice and Outreach Director at the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinics at Aspire Health Partners in Tampa FL. Rock received a Bachelor in Science from Liberty University and an MBA from TUI University.

 

Curry Hinton- Krasulak

DIRECTOR

Curry joined the Board in 2023, but has been a part of Warriors Renewal Coalition since 2009 when her mother, Mary Hinton, began building this organization. Curry, along with her two children, Jack and Hadley have been active volunteers during our family retreats and supporting our cause through numerous efforts. Curry has an extensive background in fundraising, development, and event production. She was the Director of Development of Furry Friends in Jupiter and oversaw its Shelter to Service Dog Program until she left in 2022 to join the team at Myers Auto Group in West Palm Beach as the Community Outreach and Event Coordinator. Her focus will be to continue to grow WRC’s fundraising strategy and events. Curry shared her mother’s passion for serving our nation’s combat injured veterans and their families. Curry made a promise to Mary, to continue her legacy of assisting our heroes.
