On Wednesday, July 3rd Roger Dean Stadium hosted Military Appreciation Day. Cassidy Diana did a pre game presentation of her song “The Call” that she wrote about her dads service in the military.  There was a POW Presentation.  The American Legion Post 271 – Color Guard and the Young Marines of the Palm Beaches were on the field during the Color Guard and Anthem.   First pitches were Corporal Randall B Townsend of the Young Marines and Scott Barber – Former Captain of the US Marine Corps.  Daryl McGill sang the National Anthem.  The Patriot Guard was here to ride around however due to weather and a game delay of two hours they were unable to ride.

There was a special recognition of Veterans who have participated in the Honor Flight program. The Renewal Coalition booth was hosted by Bill, Gail and Jona.  Other participants were the Civil Air Patrol, U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, Jupiter Veterans Center , Fisher House and Operation Care for Heroes.
