All of our military families arrived safely yesterday and what a wonderful group!

They were treated to a delicious cookout provided by the Vietnam Veterans of America along with some wonderful music performed by acoustic duo Dave Craig and Joe Sofia. Today started with another great breakfast provided by the Eagles and Jim Kamen.

After breakfast, everyone was treated to a full day of yachting on the Bon Jou Jou. We would like to extend a very special thank you to Mr. and Mrs.Tendrich and their excellent crew for making today a once in a lifetime experience. Not only were our guests treated to a beautiful lunch but also went snorkeling, tubing and diving off the yacht.

Tonight, “G” Money BBQ and The Knights of Columbus from St Rita Catholic Church provided a fabulous dinner and a lot of help. We would also like to thank Laura Yonkers who introduced our organization to the Palm Beach Quilters Club. Each family was given a beautiful hand made quilt.

Today has been very special for our wounded warriors and their families. We are so grateful for the overwhelming community support we receive. Our organization would not exist without all of you and we look forward to continuing to work together as we help many more service members and their families.

Our 42nd Retreat was a great success and the guests all traveled home safely yesterday with full bellies and wonderful memories of the time that they had this weekend in Jupiter, Florida. Thank you to everyone who helped to make this retreat possible for these wounded veterans and their families. To all of the meal and activity hosts, thank you for providing excellent food and fun for everyone.

There were several highlights this weekend including first time deep sea fishing experiences for a father and son, tubing on the Loxahatchee for two sweet brothers, a once in a lifetime yacht experience on the Bon Jou Jou for all of our guests, special treatment at the salon for the wives and caregivers of our nation’s heroes, and more. We truly could not provide these wonderful experiences for our guests without the support from all of you, and we are so grateful for all that you do for our organization. To each of the volunteers who came out this weekend and to everyone who made side dishes and desserts, thank you!

We have attached a few pictures from the weekend to help you see the joy on our guest’s faces. There will be more uploaded to our website and Facebook page next week.

Thank you again and we will keep you posted on upcoming events with Renewal Coalition!
