We have partnered with Furry Friends to find our combat injured veterans a service dog to help them with their PTSD, medical issues and TBI. We are saving two lives in the process; shelter dogs who were days away from being put to sleep and combat injured veterans who could not live without these dogs. We are so honored to be a part of this process and look forward to more “match making.”
Today was a BIG day. Charlie was reunited with his amazing Handler, Antoine, this morning. Antonie and Charlie will be heading home to Atlanta next weekend.
To kick things off, Charlie and Delta both earned their wings! Thanks to Taber, the awesome pilot and plane owner, who was happy to take us up into the clouds today! What an amazing experience and we are so grateful for our Service Dogs and Handlers to have these experiences! Thank you Pat Deshong at Furry Friends for making this happen!
If anyone has an opportunity for our Service Dogs to gain more exposure, that they would like to throw our way – please let us know! Nothing like this would happen for them if it were not for some amazing people who are willing to have us along!
