We had a great August 201getting to know 11 of our nation’s combat injured veterans. On Saturday, half of our veterans enjoyed golfing and a wonderful lunch hosted by the Jonathan’s Landing Golf Club. The other half of our group went out fishing with Captain Dan and Captain Louie and had a few Shark encounters. On Sunday, everyone enjoyed a day of outdoor adventure hosted by John Bills and his family. The veterans did some fresh water fishing, and enjoyed mudding on the 4wheelers. On Monday, we took our comrades out deep sea fishing on Black Dog Fishing Charters where they spent the day fishing in our beautiful Florida ocean. We ended the night by taking our guests to one of our local favorites, Dive Bar Restaurant. Everyone from all different branches of the military, came together for a weekend of comradery and swapping stories on the docks with the fishing poles in hand. We thank all those who helped us make this weekend a success for our nation’s heroes. It takes an entire community of people to come together and make our veterans and service members feel appreciated and honored for their service.
