In August, we welcomed 5 Combat Injured Veterans to Jupiter for some much needed R&R. Our veterans traveled in from all over the state. The weather did throw us a few curveballs, but our veterans were just thankful for the opportunity to enjoy their time here with other veterans who are fighting similar battles on the Homefront. The highlight of our “R&R’s” is not always about the activities, although that’s what makes it fun, but it is also about the opportunity to be around other comrades. We have found that talking with a fishing pole in hand or sitting around the table with a delicious home cooked meal can make for some of the best therapy.
Our veterans always return home knowing our community of people appreciate their service and sacrifice. We would like to give a special thank you to the following who helped us ensure our R&R was a success :
The Devine Family
Chef Dominick, Chef Daniel and Irene with Delray Dunes Golf Club
